Unapologetically Present
Deanna Stanley
When I was young, I wanted to be older. When I was fit, I wanted to be stronger. When life slowed down, I wanted it to be faster. When I slowed down, I wanted to be younger. When I got weak, I wanted to be stronger. When I wake up, I daydream about slumber. Yet when I'm sleeping, in my dreams I'm a runner.
"Life is short" sounds too cliche while we pray that we make it, at least through today. Be unapologetically present in every moment of every day and love yourself in every single way. While we are alive in a moment where we're too busy to live. No one's promised "tomorrow", is the common knowledge we give, but no one's promised "the next hour" if you understand the gift.
We all want what we don't have, and we have what we don't want.
Be unapologetically present in the present that you're given. The knowledge of the blessing is most definitely the lesson. A true gift from God, all the way from heaven.
