The White Dress
Cassie Stinger
She stared at her reflection in the floor-length mirror. Her white dress accentuating her curves before falling to the floor in a puddle of silk and lace. Butterflies invaded her stomach, matching the rhythm of her heartbeat.
"It's like a dream," she whispered to herself, smoothing down the skirt.
Her mother's head poked in the slightly ajar door. "Time to go."
"Be there in a minute."
After her mother closed the door, she picked up her bouquet, and adjusted her train.
With one last look in the mirror, she went to meet her future.
